Pastels are a very spontaneous medium for me. I use soft and oil pastels to create my art work. I believe that drawing is the basis of all art and pastels can be used to create drawings and taken further can create finished paintings. In my pastels I refer to my movement of lines as "energy lines" which I use in creating my impressionist art works. Vivid colors and swirls of line are applied as quickly as I see them. During my art classes you will see me demonstrating these techniques. |
